Children’s Health and UTSW Announce New Pediatric Health Campus in Dallas

Children’s Health and UT Southwestern Medical Center have announced plans for a new $5 billion pediatric health campus in Dallas' Southwestern Medical District. Spanning over 33 acres, this innovative campus will feature a patient-centric design to address the growing demand for pediatric services, ranging from common to complex needs. Serving as a collaborative hub for innovation, academic research, and training, the campus aims to develop cutting-edge technologies to provide exceptional care for children in the community.

The new hospital, covering approximately 2 million square feet, will consist of two 12-story towers and one eight-story tower, replacing the current Children’s Medical Center Dallas. This expansion will significantly increase inpatient, surgical, and ambulatory capacity to meet the needs of one of the nation's fastest-growing metropolitan areas. The pediatric campus, slated to open within the next six to seven years, will be situated on the UT Southwestern campus at the intersection of Harry Hines Boulevard and Mockingbird Lane, opposite UTSW’s William P. Clements Jr. University Hospital.
