DFW Airport Joins World Economic Forum Initiative to Support Global Aviation Sustainability

Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) announced it is joining the World Economic Forum (WEF) and Airports Council International (ACI) in a new initiative to support the aviation industry’s move to net-zero carbon emissions by 2050.

DFW already is a leader in sustainability, with plans to become net-zero carbon by 2030 – 20 years ahead of the global industry goal. DFW will use its experience and knowledge in this area to help support Airports of Tomorrow, which supports airports as they make changes to their operations and infrastructure that will enable net-zero aviation. The initiative will focus on infrastructure, sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), innovative sustainable finance solutions for airports and creating startup challenges that invite new innovative firms to join the World Economic Forum community.
