UT Arlington's Smart Hospital Building Receives Support from Hoblitzelle Foundation

The University of Texas at Arlington's School of Social Work/College of Nursing and Health Innovation Smart Hospital Building has received a generous gift from the Hoblitzelle Foundation to support educational endeavors in nursing and social work programs. In recognition, a terrace will be named after the foundation. Katie Robbins, President and CEO of the Hoblitzelle Foundation, emphasized UTA's role in training the North Texas workforce, particularly in nursing and social work.

The 150,000-square-foot building, inaugurated in April 2023, offers state-of-the-art learning spaces, including a Smart Hospital with medical robots, a simulated apartment suite for social work and nursing practice, and a virtual reality lab for patient interaction training.
