UTARI’s Biomedical Technologies Division’s poster won first place at the American Spinal Injury Association’s (ASIA) Annual Scientific Meeting held in Atlanta. The poster, “Feasibility Study of Smart Seat Cushion for Automated Interface Pressure Modulation” is focused on evaluating the smart seat cushion’s functionality in mapping, redistribution and offloading the seating interface pressure. The smart seat cushion monitors and modulates seating interface pressure in real-time to reduce pressure ulcer prevalence among wheelchair users.
