Growing up in Oak Cliff, a neighborhood with its share of socioeconomic challenges, Dr. Griffin understood firsthand the importance of access to quality healthcare for underserved populations.
His election as President of the medical staff at Parkland Memorial Hospital, a facility deeply rooted in providing care to underserved communities, highlights his commitment to addressing healthcare disparities. As the first Black physician to hold this prestigious position, Dr. Griffin brings a unique perspective and a deep understanding of the needs of marginalized groups.
