Reviving the Dodo: Mauritian Wildlife Foundation and Colossal Biosciences Join Forces for Rewilding Efforts in Native Habitat

Colossal Biosciences, a pioneering genetic engineering and de-extinction company, has forged a groundbreaking alliance with the Mauritian Wildlife Foundation, a nonprofit conservation organization dedicated to safeguarding Mauritius' unique biodiversity. Together, they aim to resurrect and rewild the extinct dodo, an iconic symbol of human-induced extinction.

The Mauritian Wildlife Foundation will play a pivotal role as Colossal's primary rewilding partner in this ambitious venture, encompassing not only the restoration of critical ecosystems but also the genetic rescue of the Pink Pigeon, a vulnerable species native to Mauritius.
