Tarleton State University Continues NASA CubeSat Initiative for Second Year

For the second consecutive year, Tarleton State University's Mayfield College of Engineering has secured a spot in NASA's CubeSat Launch Initiative (CSLI), offering students the opportunity to conduct experiments in space. Selected as the sole Texas university for the University Nanosatellite Program (UNP), in collaboration with NASA, the U.S. Air Force, and the U.S. Space Force, Tarleton State stands out among eight chosen schools. Led by principal investigator Dr. Sotrios Diamantas, the team includes Tarleton State students Braden Wells and Ashlan Benson, alongside McLennan Community College freshman Lloyd Alcorn. This initiative highlights the commitment to preparing the next generation of small satellite systems engineers for the challenges and opportunities in the space industry.
