UNTHSC Receives Grant from Aetna for Pediatric Disability Healthcare Pilot Program

The University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth's Center for Health Policy has secured a $75,000 grant from Aetna, a CVS Health company, to launch a pioneering pilot program.

Spearheaded by Dr. Waridibo Allison, MD, PhD, FACP, CPE, FIDSA, the HSC's vice president of health policy and executive director of the Center for Health Policy, alongside Dr. Kimberly Fulda, DrPH, an associate professor at HSC's Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine and executive director of NorTex, this initiative is geared towards enhancing the knowledge and skills of primary care providers. Specifically targeting those who serve pediatric patients with physical or developmental disabilities, the program aims to bolster the quality of healthcare services available to these individuals, particularly in under-resourced and rural communities.
