CPRIT's Pioneering Contributions in Cancer Research Recognized

At the 2024 Annual Conference in Austin, the Texas Academy of Medicine, Engineering, Science and Technology (TAMEST) bestowed the Kay Bailey Hutchison Distinguished Service Award upon the Cancer Prevention and Research Institute of Texas (CPRIT). Wayne Roberts, CEO of CPRIT, and Dr. Michelle Le Beau, Chief Scientific Officer, accepted the accolade on behalf of the agency during the opening reception at the AT&T Hotel and Conference Center.

Roberts expressed gratitude, stating, 'Receiving an award named for Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison, who championed scientific research and technology innovation, is a tremendous honor. At CPRIT, we are committed to advancing research, innovation, and collaboration across Texas, aligning with TAMEST's mission.’
