UT Arlington Researchers Develop Framework to Help Alzheimer's Patients Assess Disease Progression and Plan for Future Care

Dajiang Zhu, PhD

Researchers at The University of Texas at Arlington have developed an innovative learning-based framework to assist the approximately 55 million people worldwide grappling with dementia, predominantly Alzheimer's disease. This tool empowers Alzheimer's patients to accurately assess their position within the disease's developmental spectrum, facilitating a better understanding of the timing of later stages and enabling more effective planning for the inevitable escalation of care needs as the disease progresses.
