UT Dallas Researcher Receives NIH Grant to Develop Bladder Function Therapies for Spinal Cord Injury Patients

Ana Hernandez-Reynoso, who holds a PhD from the University of Texas at Dallas in bioengineering, has been awarded a career transition grant from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to embark on innovative research aimed at developing therapies utilizing vagus nerve stimulation (VNS) to enhance bladder function in individuals with spinal cord injuries.

The grant, part of the MOSAIC (Maximizing Opportunities for Scientific and Academic Independent Careers) program, is designed to provide support for promising postdoctoral researchers as they transition to faculty positions at research-intensive institutions.
