TTUHSC Amarillo Campus Awarded Funding for Medical Residency Expansion

The Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) Amarillo campus has been awarded $1.8 million by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) as part of the Graduate Medical Education (GME) Expansion Program for 2024-2025. This funding will support current and expanded residency slots in family medicine, internal medicine, and pediatrics, as well as potentially fund a new general surgery residency program. TTUHSC is grateful for THECB's support in sustaining and potentially expanding medical training opportunities amidst growing demand for physicians.
